Choose your finish
Bring a color or reference you like. Compare the appearance alongside texture, cleaning needs and the floor’s daily use before selecting a system.
01
A consistent color across the floor for a simple, coordinated appearance.
Selection detail: Compare color, topcoat sheen and any added texture.
02
Colored chips create a patterned finish within a layered coating system.
Selection detail: Choose a blend, flake size and coverage level with a sample.
03
Pigments create flowing color and depth for a more expressive floor. The pattern varies with each application.
Selection detail: Agree the colors and overall effect; each floor has its own variation.
Review a physical sample in your space’s lighting. Color, sheen and texture depend on the chosen materials; a reference image sets the direction for your finish.

Epoxy is a resin flooring option. A specified system may combine a primer, a build layer and a finish coat. Coatings, aggregate-filled slurries and mortars offer different builds; selection should follow the floor’s traffic and exposure.
From concrete to finished floor
The existing slab, any old finish and the proposed use guide the work. Your proposal should identify the preparation, repairs and coating layers included.
01
Review the concrete, old coatings, cracks, moisture concerns and intended use. Identify any testing or repair needed before selecting the finish.
02
Define cleaning, coating removal, mechanical preparation and repairs in the proposal. Preparation follows the requirements of the selected coating system.
03
Specify the primer or basecoat, decorative layers and compatible topcoat where required. Confirm the color and texture before application.
04
Review the finished scope and product-specific care instructions. Confirm separate return times for foot traffic, vehicles and equipment.
Plan your budget
Two floors with the same square footage can need different work. Compare proposals using the same preparation, finish and included repairs. Ask for the return-to-use schedule and any applicable warranty terms in writing.
Plan your downtime
Installation time and return-to-use time are different. The selected products, slab conditions and temperature determine the schedule.
Before work starts, agree when people can walk on the floor, when vehicles or equipment can return, and when cleaning or heavier use is allowed. Each may have a different waiting period.
For garages, arrange parking and storage. For occupied businesses, identify access routes and any work that needs to be phased.
Before you book
An installation price depends on the floor size, existing condition, preparation and selected system. Share approximate dimensions and a description of the floor for an initial discussion. A written proposal should identify the work included; estimate and consultation fees are separate from installation pricing.
The existing finish must be assessed for compatibility and adhesion. Loose or unsuitable coatings may need removal, and retained coatings still need the preparation required by the new system. Include peeling areas and previous coating information with your request.
A decorative finish is not a solution for an unidentified water problem. Discuss leaks and moisture conditions first. A compatible moisture-control system may be part of a specified floor assembly, while the source of water entry can require separate work.
There is no single waiting time for every system. Product selection, temperature and site conditions affect curing. Ask for the agreed schedule for walking, parking, equipment and cleaning before installation so you can plan access and storage.
Yes. Solid colors, decorative flake and metallic effects are starting options. Review a sample with your lighting and daily use in mind. Texture and topcoat selection should account for cleaning and conditions where the floor may become wet.
Phasing can be discussed around your operations. Share occupied areas, equipment locations, access routes and opening hours. Numark will review whether the proposed scope and coating schedule allow separate work areas before confirming a plan.
Smooth finishes can become slippery when wet. Choose texture for the expected spills, traffic and cleaning routine; no finish should be treated as slip-proof.
Scratch resistance depends partly on the finish coat. Movement or cracking in the concrete can affect the coating, so repairs and movement details need assessment.
Remove grit regularly and use the installed system’s recommended cleaner. A pH-neutral cleaner is often suitable; confirm compatibility before using degreasers or stronger products.
